Consequences for leaving mid-Dungeon
There are SO many ways this could be abused it’s impossible to implement in a reasonable way.

|Deadeye|Warrior|Herald|Daredevil|Reaper|Spellbreaker
I agree with Spiro. Besides, before tweaking the system further, the current abuse tools need to be addressed. It’s not fun doing a dungeon only to be kicked midway through so someone’s friend can join. (Which is also the reason I apologized and left a dungeon yesterday when I noticed we had 4 guys from the same guild besides me. But ofc I left it shortly after we entered and I saw everyone’s tags)
People who can’t tend to call the opponent troll, scream something utterly incomprehensible
and finally result to personal insults.
A simple fix to this would something like this:
1. Player 1 opens
2. Players 2,3,4 get a “copy” of the instance
3. If one of the players leave the group, they get kicked out (as it currently works) PLUS the added loss of their copy of the area.
That way no one gets kicked.
Well something reasonable would need to be done. I’m really tired of getting booted mid-Dungeon because someone threw a fit about something or other.
i don’t know… i quit dungeons when i get a fail group. why should i be punished twice because i ended up in a terrible pug?
also it isn’t just raging. there are many legit reasons for people to leave that i can understand. they are easy to replace.
as for everyone being kicked when the leader leaves, that needs to be fixed.
Depending on the dungeon and time of day it could take a while to find a replacement. I feel if they had to leave then something like an hour cool down before they could go in another dungeon wouldn’t matter much if they were leaving in the first place.

I’d say that the CD needs to scale according to how far in the dungeon they were. Could even be that the CD is time spent in the dungeon if you left of your own initiave. (Not if you get kicked, not if the leader leaves, not if the dungeon is completed)
So if you enter a dungeon and immediately realize that
A) The group you’re playing with is bunch of elitist newbies who get wiped on the first regular mob or
B) It’s a guild team likely to kick you later on just to get another of their guildies in
or C) Whatever other reason
you wouldn’t be penalized that much. (Since you leaving at the start hardly matters for the group anyways.)

A simple punishment would be something similar in PvP in GW1
“1h cool down to be able to reenter a dungeon / instance”
If people leaves because they need to do things in RL, then it wont matter to them, but if some one leave because he doesn’t like the group, than you are not a reliable person so you need to stay out a bit. Considering the dungeons can take normally 1h, a cool down like this would be just good

Well, if there is something like 1h cooldown, it shouldn’t trigger on the first or second go, but rather on the 3rd or 5th.
For example, you’re looking for group to do SE p1. You are invited to a group, the group enters and everyone else selects p3. Not your fault, you shouldn’t be penalized for leaving a group after being scammed to join.

agreed. a 3 time rotation is good
