When the dynamic event for an area near a waypoint is a “Defend” this area the waypoint should NOT be contested, this is a time when calling out to the map for support at xxxx waypoint is needed and if it is contested you cannot call in the reinforcements…if you are taking the area back I can understand it, it is not your waypoint at that time but during defense that IS your waypoint
