My suggestion is for events that take place across more than one zone. I don’t know if they exist already because I’m still level 46 on my first character, but I think it’s a neat idea. I think the meta events in zones reset a little too quickly and because these events are a little bigger in scope, I don’t think they should occur as often as the existing events. Maybe 2 or 3 times a day.
An example would be like pirates landing off the coast looking for buried treasure. The treasure hunting party could be like a champion boss, some veteran officers, and regular mob minions. They will start at their ship at the first zone and then start moving to certain “camping” spots in other zones where they start an event. They can raid the local town for supplies or kidnap peasants for slaves. These spots would be predetermined but I think the order that they choose to go to do them in should be random. It can be explained with the pirates being lost and are just wandering or some funny story about finding the map in fortune cookie. Eventually, they will reach one of these random “camping” spots and they will start digging for the treasure. Once they have the treasure they will start to travel back to their ship and leave. If players are able to defeat this group before they get back to their ship then a chest would drop. The reason for the random camping spots is to prevent players from camping the final treasure spot.
