One thing I miss from WoW, is the ability to create a custom chat channel. From my experience, it was mostly used by guilds allied with each other. They created their own chat channel with a password(optional) given to everyone in the guilds so they all could talk to each other.
It would be a great thing here too if you are multiple guilds working together and want to communicate in a good and easy way.

This has been suggested countless times, specifically by me. :p

DDO has the ability to create custom chat channels that are persistent and can be password protected. They also have admin rights and privileges for whomever created them, I believe.

don’t really care how its implemented.

in a game that so favors guilds allying with one another this feature should be bumped up the priority list over many other less useful and needed features.

having commander/alliance/lfd/etc.. chats is just a no brainer.
