It’s getting quiet ridiculous I must say. First a story. I was just trying to get a commune skill point that was guarded by a tough veteran ettin. During my combat with the veteran the two ettins that I killed before kept respawning midfight and made it very agonizing. By the time I killed the the veteran I got downed at the same time it died. The two ettins respawned for the "ump"teenth time and killed me. Went to a nearby waypoint glad the veteran was gone and voila he respawned before I could commune.

This is very very VERY annoying especially when you are on your own. Please cut it back some. I’d rather camp spawns than do this crap.

I have to add to this that it isn’t the individual respawn times that are a problem, it is the games lack of awareness concerning proximity and the respawning of multiple enemies. (As evidenced by your issue)
If there is one enemy and I kill it in order to access a Vista or SP then it’s FINE. But the second there are multiple enemies in very close proximity it becomes problematic. Unless I managed to kill them all at the exact same time the respawn rates becomes uneven and it means you end up in an annoying loop where as soon as you’ve finished killing one the other respawns.

As OP has pointed out this is ESPECIALLY problematic when there is a combination of Vet/Champ and regular mobs. Vet’s take longer to kill and by the time you’ve killed the Vet and started to commune or gather or whatever the regular mobs have respawned and ruin everything -_-.

I don’t think the answer is to increase spawn times, but instead to give the game some kind of spawn cluster awareness.

That will work too. Also what could possibly help it focus on Vistas and Skill Points with a group of enemies and maybe spread them out more or lessen the number? The one I was in had like 6 ettins and a veteran in it (cave).

I got 100% of the map some 4/5 months ago and I don’t remember running into any issues like that. And yes, 98% I was on my own.

6 Ettin plus a veteran sounds like a cave (like you said) but I very much doubt they’re all on top of each other, be honest, you just rushed and they all came long right?

Every time I get in the suggestions forums all I see is nerf nerf nerf, nerf skills, nerf enemies, nerf events…

I’m on my second toon getting 100% map (on Orr land mass) and again doing it on my own, and after all the complains I still don’t see any problem, anything other than a champion is doable solo or you can avoid it all together and I’m an average player at best.

So like I always recommend, ask for help or go back later, but for the love of all that’s holly don’t ask for more nerfing, I mean just look at CoF P3.

One, no I didn’t rush in I fought 1-2 at a time. Also two I’ve never heard of CoF P3. I just think it’s something they need to look into.

Bad luck and timing can totally trump preparation and skill sometimes, so one person’s experience may vary widely from that of another’s Dean.
Personally I’ve been playing this game practically solo since beta and I can tell you I have run into situations very similar to what Ziggy describes. If fact I’m almost positive the area he’s describing is “Pinion Trail” on the far side of Queensdale. If it is, yeah that can be a pretty hairy spot for an early level char.
Yeah nerf is the typical slogan for just about everything on the forums but respawn rates do need to be reworked, especially in less populated zone where a lone player can easily become outnumbered and overwhelmed. Being able to pull creatures and separate groups more efficiently would go a long way to helping the situation as well.
