Dear devs is it possible to add cyrillic fonts to game client, because it is hard to communicate with guild members, using latin alphabet, because most of them do not understand english

and it’s so strange – we can use cyrillic fonts in trade search, but can’t in chat.

Please don’t…. i don’t want the chat spammed with letters like that :S

Oh i’m waiting for cyrillic symbols too. I don’t think it’ll be more annoying to the non-russian players seeing russian sumbols than transletiration. Seems that chat supports cyrillic symbols but the font used in it doesn’t. So russian symbols apper in chat as spaces, but if I copy them to text file they are ok.
If needed i can attach screenshot later.

Please no cyrillic symbols in official chats! It is ok if you wispher to someone in a cyrillic font.
I have seen this in other ENGLISH online games where the official server language was english and the chat was filled with annoying cyrillic stuff. Most of the other european gamers got annoyed because the can´t read a single word. If some one write in hispanic, french, ita, german… something with a latin font I can read or guess what he wants to tell. (well I can read hiragana,katakana and kanji) But please for the love of god, allah, pirates ,ninjas and the all mighty Chuck Norris no cyrillic font!

If you do not want to translate our game on russian, plz give us ability to write cyrillic, guys.

As a person who’s mother tongue alphabet is Cyrillic, I really don’t want to see it in gw2’s chatter. Especially 13 year old WoW players saying kitten to your friends in cyrilic hoping to avoid the ban hammer ….. besides its really easy to “convert” Cyrillic to latin, you basically just right down the sounds, doesn’t require a genius

Try to write some of english worlds with cyrillikitteners, and you see – its not that easy, especially when you need to write this quickly.

I always do, that is if I write to people from my country of course. And we understand each other perfectly fine, and i dont think i write any slower
