Dailies - better before daily roll up?
As long as I’ve played, the dailies have never rolled over to the next day.
And it’s called a daily for a reason. And besides, you can easily figure out the difference in time between the server and your local time. Use that to your advantage.
Perhaps try to pick a different daily?
Dailies take like no time at all. I log on for a bit and do whatever, then decide to finish my dailies before I log out and that usually takes 10-15 minutes. (Doing whatever usually takes care of 2-3 dailies on it’s own, whether it is leveling an alt, running a dungeon or killing world bosses).
As Olba said above, daily has never rolled over in GW2. It lasts for one day, hence why its called a daily.
Ever since the laurels were added… yes they have never rolled over.
Before that when all you got was exp and a jug of kharma you could whittle away at it for a bit, then come back days later and finish it off.
It was just a thought for those who can only spare an hour or so a day to play and are tired of getting to 80%, logging off, and returning to find themselves at zero again… but I understand.
They are just dailies, a menial little bonus with a sad little reward… but still nice if you get a chance.
no you could not. Dailies have always reset at 7pm est (8pm during DST). You have never ever had dailies last for more then 24 hrs in this game … it wouldn’t be a daily then.
can only spare an hour or so a day to play
an hour is more than enough to finish the dailies.
If you choose your target area carefully and focus, it’s possible to complete dailies within 30 minutes (I’m not very focused, so it will take me longer). Every zone has a section or route that lends itself well to completing the bits that require fighting (plenty of the dailies are minor solo activities: find/finish JPs, craft, salvage, etc.).
If you’re in a guild, ask for suggestions. If you’re not, ask in /map (and maybe consider looking for a guild). There are a lot of people who have had more time than you to run around seeking efficient routes for dailies and many are happy to share them with others.
