Could something please be done about the daily? I’ve noticed that it changes at around 6pm, which is extremely weird. It should change at 12am… you know, when the day is over. I understand that not everyone lives in the same timezone as me but I am on an American server and the time will be at worst < or > 3 hours of my time, which would be an improvement.
I’m just requesting this because on several occasions I’ve been nearly complete with the daily, only to have it reset on me. It actually happened to me today, perhaps motivating me to create this topic. I completed everything and my last objective was to kill 15 unique enemy types; of which I killed 11. Then I noticed I when I finished chopping a tree that I got the gatherer achievement, which I already completed. So I have to do it all over again, with none of the benefit of my last attempt.

Please do something.

It is a daily for a reason. You do it over and over and over again. For the unigue kills just kill all the white mobs and the yellow mobs they count.

The OP isn’t complaining about the actual requirements for the achievements. Instead, the OP is concerned with the time it resets.

I agree. I don’t know how difficult it would be to have the daily reset based on your own time zone, but having it around dinner time to me is just odd.

I’m in Japan and I am like 15 hrs ahead of Anet I never have problems. The daily should not take more than a couple of hrs if that is what you are focued on.

I believe the dailies reset at 0:00 UTC. Are you in a time zone that is -6 UTC?

Thought they were reset at Pacific time. I’m +9UTC

PST (-8 UTC) daily resets at 4pm. I believe they are around CST (-6 UTC) or EST (-5 UTC) since they said that it restarts around dinner time and the topic creator said 6pm American server. I believe Daylight Savings also messed with it, as it used to be 5pm PST as far as I know.

I don’t mind, as I just play every other day and do my dailies twice that day. But that means I’m playing every other day instead of every day. Aren’t dailies supposed to bring people back every day? Feels like that’s what ANet would want, so dailies need to be set to individual player’s time zones.

Then set your self a goal other than dailes and play for that.
