If this exist, I apologize. I could not find anything with the search, however:

Toooo many dailies. Yeah, it is great to get those points, but heck, when I get home from work, I get showered, get dinner and sit down and get the dailies done (or try to) and then try and get an hour or so to do something I would like to do. Trouble is, by then, its bed time. So, the whole week goes by where I am in a way compelled to… well, do what the daily table dictates and not playing the game.

I don’t like that.

Ok, yes, “you don’t have to”. I know… but I do want the points, and I don’t want to be left behind either. So… yeah, I have to.

Whats the chances of just slightly modifying the dailies to “Hey player, here is a list, choose any 5”, and cap the point at 5. So if you do more, well, you still just get the 5 points for the ones that count.

I dono, I just feel that the dailies are just getting heavier and heavier. I mean today, sit and read the list: Ambassador, Kill Scarlet, Maguma events… Wait… Kill scarlet! Really? That is 45 minutes I could have been in WvW! Really guys, please think about this.

I do tend to agree with this, though I am pretty sure many other player’s will simply state, “you don’t have to do the extra achievements past the daily if you don’t want to, you are only getting AP’s.” However, I would have a hard time finding anyone that wouldn’t agree that the “Kill Scarlet” Clockwork Chaos daily is a little over the top, especially with the rediculous amount of crashing I have been doing since the latest patch. Took me three tries last night in order to obtain it, MINIMUM of 3 hours.

Shorten the requirement for some dailies would be a good idea. Also group dailies to convenient bunches, such as kills, kill variety and aquatic; or maguman killer, maguman veteran killer, maguman event completer etc so people can get all 5 done at the same time.

Even that would be really helpful. The current drive towards running all over the world to do dailies… It is just getting too much. It really does feel like being “forced”, or rather compelled to do content I would otherwise not have been inclined to do, and I resent that.

Dailys are fine…. Some of them are done in 1 sec – litteraly (kama spender and laurel- vendor). A-nets desire is that u spend time with their game – they want u to do that. And as u said urself – u dont have to.

How are people still taking more than a hour to complete theirs? I would think by now people know the prime spots to go for certain dailies. Don’t tell me you see things like “Maguuma killer” and go to a random area rather than one of the three wps that have ~25 mobs in a small spot?

And are people not memorizing where the easy and quick events are on a map and checking them?

Anything with ambassador is a freebie. But Killing Scarlet is added for the people who already intend to do it, not that you should waste your time doing it just for the daily.

I pick out the shortest ones to complete and if I complete more than 5 it is just a by-product of what else I am doing. They only give 1 point each, don’t waste your time past the 5 easiest to complete for the day.

As you said, nothing is forcing you. How are you being left behind by not doing some of them. The achievement rewards are for you only, and are not game breaking. If there is something in the daily that I don’t want to do, I just don’t do it. I need to be in the mood to WvW so I almost always just ignore the three achievements related to it.

Do I feel bad that someone else is spending the time to get those points, no. Why should I? What someone else has is completely unrelated to my enjoyment of the game, (even if that means they get an extra 90 achievement points per month). Why can’t we police ourselves and judge how to spend our own time?

I like they they include so many options, it lets people do what they want and still get some reward for it. Those that want to spend the extra time get an extra reward of a small amount of AP.

Also for killing Scarlet, if you don’t think it’s worth it, don’t do it. This is a game, spend your time having fun. If you aren’t having fun, why are you playing?

Also if you’re going to bring up the leaderboards, can you at least say where they are? I’ve played this game for a year with over 1k hours and I didn’t know gw2 even had a leaderboards until the achievement rewards came out, and without a google search I still can’t find them. To me, and a vast amount of players, the leaderboards don’t mean anything.

Sorry, but you’re doing it wrong. The idea is to be able to finish the dailies by doing what you’re doing anyway. If you can’t, then don’t. It isn’t going to hurt you to miss a day. You absolutely don’t need to do more than 5.

There will also be plenty of Living Story dailies to finish the meta you don’t need to kill scarlet, or whatever more difficult ones there might be.

I really wish people would get it through their heads that these are a bonus to playing. It’s not a requirements and it’s not a job. The only one who is making it like that is you. If you don’t want it to be like that, stop treating it like that. The moment you realize you can just not do it and the world won’t end you’re life and play time will get a lot better.

Tab at the top, Community, Leaderboards is the only thing in it. The leaderboards don’t mean anything to more than 100 people, I’m pretty sure. The top 100, 1000 at the most, people are the only ones who actually get placed on the leaderboards, and they’re the ones with 10,000+ AP.

Huh, thanks, while obvious now, I never would have thought to look there (then again I never really cared enough anyways). At least I finally found where my server is placed in WvW.

Yep i think too that there should be a cap at 5 points per day (or around that), but not only cause more is time consuming but also because most of the other achievements lost the balance of Achievement Points rewarded: All the Slayer/ Weapon achievements ( and still many many more for instances pvp, dungeons usw.). I mean 16 points for 1000 kills, 11 points for a 5000 kills? and then 14 points for a daily?

I agree that doing dailies is becoming too much of a chore. I think they should cap the number of points you can get at 10 per day. This way, we would still have some freedom to only do the things we enjoy.

Cap the daily point gain you can earn from the daily system to 5 you can mirror it to pvp objectives as in they are short, but sweet and well within reason and something you earn just by enjoying the game.

Having kills be split into various zones like small creatures, shiverpeaks, kryta ect ect or crafting items MF or salvage items much less buying karma for me only gets done if it is for the daily…

That’s great they are trying to get the players to experience certain parts of the game but really I just hate the entire idea of a daily system what about just playing the way you want to…. They seem to gate every reward or fun event to be a daily now and it is so boring…

The only thing stopping you from doing the things you enjoy is you. If you feel you must do every single daily that’s on you not the devs the system is perfectly fine the way it is

I’m still scratching my head to why people think dailies are a chore. I can’t remember the last time I actively tried to get 5 of the dailies completed, and I haven’t missed a daily for months.
