Hello guys,

My name is Khalar Bladestorm. I was born deaf and had an operation on young age. I am wearing a hearing aid on the right ear and i can hear you perfect.

I am a comander in the FSP server. I comand sometimes when i have time and when i dont see other comanders. I do sometimes nightcap-comanding in the weekend.
I can’t use teamspeak, because most of the male voices are sometimes hard to understand (female voices are like heaven to me haha), but the point is that it is stupid i can’t lead a zerg with teamspeak. I always have to type something fast etc… Even when there are guild events in WvW, i never lead a guild because ive the fear to fail without ts.

My point is, can’t be there something for deaf people like me? To make the comanding smooth or something else?

People who aren’t deaf don’t know how it is and hence don’t know how to help you. You’re deaf, don’t you know how anet could help you? Think about it and get some ideas, they will be better than the ones from people with normal hearing abilities.

One idea that might help is allowing us to save alias’s for chat commands / phrases.

That way instead of a whole sentence one could simply type ‘;kx’ or some such and the other people in the channel would see ’All Gather to help claim Keep <whatever> ’

Many more things that are typed often could have an alias. String alias’s together for complex phrases etc.

Would be a lot less typing allowing more time to control a character.

Command log? Something like map-wide or zone-wide chat, where you could use some basic commands. It could even utilize a mini-map, allowing commander to mark/draw something quickly coupled with quick command log. I don’t know really what commands could be implemented, but something like scrooled/numbered commands in a quick menu under a hotkey (like in games like SWAT/Rainbow Six – “Break keep gate and flash inside!” – could be awesome xD).

Yes i know,
but it’s always annoyin for me when some people gets mad for not using TS while i am comanding EB or other borders.
Anet said they were going to improve the functionality of comander, and i am hoping they are making something easier for me for the comanding of zergs,…
