Dear ANet,
It has been more and more apparent over the months that certain things are not being addressed and/or maintained. A new “large” content patch comes out, lag issues are fixed; however there are bugs to other aspects of the game. It seems that things aren’t being taken seriously in the Quality Assurance department of the development team. This is why separation of duties is such a large part of being IT professionals; so the QA time can produce the newly changed programming but the administration team can implement it IFF (if and only if) meets quality standards help up by ANet.

I propose that on top of separation of duties; you implement some form of change management logs. Bugs in the programming is actually why things like this exist in the IT field. That way you can look back at what was changed; and see what has changed from the functioning programming to the newly bugged programming. Instead of trying to discover new fixes for bugs; revert the programming of the bugged area to the functional data.

Please ANet; don’t continue down the path you are on. If you can’t produce the quality you are after; don’t release it on the public until it is finished. This is was PTR testing is for.

A-net has never, ever payed attention to things after a specific point. They just throw new things at you, and hope you ignore all the broken stuff they left behind. That’s how they’ve done it since the release of Prophecies, and they’re likely not going to change.
