I’d just like to ask one very small quick and simple favor. Can you please stop making all the female Charr and maybe Asura wear human style female clothing for the style tab or give us the option to wear the male stuff.

You designed these races around not caring about gender differences and so thus all the armor reflects that and so does the style sense. The short short well khaki shorts look terrible on a Charr and so does the female designs with large V-necks for cleavage that doesn’t exist. So thus the style items being sold look really bad on female Charr.

Why not have the option to wear either or in the first place? Even Archie comics which is so full of gender stereotypes it’s bad admitted Betty looked good in a suit. Come on GW2 you are more modern then them. Let Charr and Asura have the option so we can look styling instead of someone who is a fashion disaster.

I cant agree more. As an asura player I wish they would make things look more appropriate for us.

I brought my female Asura the Christmas clothes just so she could wear a dress to Human functions, and be pretty. Though I don’t want a dress when running around kicking buttocks.

They need a female clothing designer – I know one, maybe two, let me know when you are tired of goofing around and want some decent skins.

I would love to see more armor variation, people starting to be like copy paste or armor or armor mix.

I’d settle to at the least to have the style armor that isn’t even used in combat male or female options for the Charr and Asura. The Khaki shorts and such look so HORRID on a Charr and a majority of my characters are female Charr.

Can I just counter this with a request to please not interpret “gender indifferent” as “male”. It doesn’t make sense for Asuras to follow human gender norms, but it ALSO doesn’t make sense for all Asura to dress as human males. If Asura aren’t going to follow the standard male/female divide, then either all Asura should have both male and female clothing and armour options, or there should be a random assortment of male and female armour and clothing for BOTH genders.

Forcing female Asuras to wear male human male clothing isn’t neutrality, it’s just treating the male version as the default with female clothing as some weird alternative. There is no more reason for a female Asura to be wearing shirt and trousers than there is for a male Asura to be wearing a blouse and skirt (especially in a world so indifferent to practicality in outfits as Tyria).
