Defiance for players
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant
How does agies have anything to do with my entire post ? or are you here to try and troll ???
It is the balanced version of Defiant, does the same thing and protects you from the next CC attacks.
Anyone with half a brain can see that even one stack of Defiant is ridiculously overpowered.
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant
And therefore your ability to read a post is not in your favor today. Please go back and read my post instead of the title. Defiant in which I am talking about is not the defiance in which is currently in the game. Which also explains why I told you that Ageies has nothing to do with my post as the Defiance in which I posted about for players does nothing for CC or blocks an attack.
Thank you for proving to me and any others that read this that you simply do not read before posting, which makes you a troll.

here I will save you the time
For every 3rd attack you gain 1 stack of Defiance, up to 10 stacks if you lose control or are knocked down all stacks are removed. Defiance adds “threat” interest of the mob you are attacking making the mob more inclined to attacking you. For every 1 stack you are granted 10% threat up to 100%.
Maybe it is just me but the last time I checked Threat % has nothing to do with Avoiding CC or Dodging attacks or taking no damage.
So basically you made a mis-leading ambiguous title that has nothing to do with defiance. The fault is on your side.
If I made a title that says “Lions are ugly.” People would expect me to talk about Lions and not about how Donkeys are pretty.
In this case, similarly you talked about defiance but talk about threat mechanics, even your first paragraph talks a little bit about defiance mechanics on dungeon bosses. In an essay, the instructor would fail you.
Instead of that, you could’ve titled it, “Please add threat mechanics!” It would be very clear to people reading what you really want.

Or maybe you should just read the full post, instead of assuming
My first paragraph explained the reason for my approach, which was control. It also stated that as a mitigation build I am barely doing any mitigation in the long run. Which also supports my later comments, the fact of what I named the thread still holds to the post as I stated Defiance for players. I could have called it rainbows and kittens and the point of my thread would still hold.
I am sorry you couldn’t take the time to read through a post before posting your assumptive suggestion which held no basis to the actual post. Again maybe you should read before posting.
In closing there is already a threat mechanic for the game.

It doesn’t change the fact that you are suggesting a threat mechanic.
Back on topic, The current system is fine. I enjoy dungeon running already and I wouldn’t change anything at all.
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant
shakes head for sake of argument with someone that is always right, I am wrong your right I should have named it threat mechanic.
Good you do not agree with my suggestion no need to keep posting now.
If you add anything even like this, you create a tank/heal and we are back to the trinity.
Any threat mechanic that the players can manipulate creates a tank role and a healer role as designated. Thus the return to the trinity and thus the game loses what it has.
There is no need for it, people just need to pay attention more and spend less time in pure damage mode.
I read your entire post and I thought it was confusing and misleading as well. If you come up with a new feature and give it the same name as an existing feature (and mention that existing feature in the opening sentence) you should expect some confusion.
Your title is very misleading and confused me at first. I don’t know if you can but I suggest you change it immediately. The current system is fine, if you want to grab aggro, figure out how their aggro works, and then have a jolly time dancing with whatever npc you want to run around with. Having an easy way to have guarenteed aggro pretty much brings back trinity, and really dumbs down the fight for every other player when its already very dumbed down to maintain vigor, evade, and kite.
If you were saying replace stability boon for defiant, I would +1 you, but sadly you are not.
