Deleveling---Make it a toggle.
I do not agree with this suggestion. If I want to feel like a “god” I’ll go try my hand at PvP or WvW. The level adjustment system in this game is great; it allows the players to be able to enjoy every map, regardless of the level that they are. I just do not foresee getting any enjoyment clearing a level 20-30 map, with my 80 character, with an effective level of 80. In all of my years playing MMOs, I have never enjoyed just steam rolling my way through anything, PvE and PvP alike.
That’s because you are not supposed to feel like a “god among mere mortals”. The Downscaling System is perfectly fine.

i care. even if the op doesnt now. i risk high level armor for low yeild drops and puny exp in low level areas. i dont need to be a god. but a higher level came like 3+ levels above monsters would be a START
Not needed. The last thing I need is some obnoxious lvl 80 coming into the starter zone, and just clearing the whole area and leaving it bare “just for kicks”. Oh, and it would happen… Some people are like that.
The downscaling system is an integral feature of the game. Asking to remove it would trivialize the content for everyone involved.
Though I agree the downscaling system is an integral feature, anet should make it so that repair bills and travel costs do scale with your zone also. It’s silly to have you pay repair costs on a lvl 80 armor because you got killed by a group of lvl 5 mobs after being nerfed by the game down to level 5.

The idea is fine, but its implementation isn’t. Someone checked, and we are currently getting our stats reduced way too much when we are down-leveled.
