Alright, I know some of these have probably been mentioned before, but I think there a few essential updates that would really be beneficial and convenient to the community as a whole:
Updated LFG system
This one has probably been beaten a lot, but third-party sites such as GW2lfg.com have it down pretty much perfectly, and it would be very useful to build this in game. I doubt everyone throughout the game has heard about this site, and I’m sure there are other sites in use. Putting a mechanic like this in the game itself will be a much easier way to party up and do dungeons and such.
Basic/Fine Transmutation Stones
To me this is a serious issue. I have almost every profession to level 80 by now, which means all of my 100-some basic transmutation stones will be completely worthless. I would like to see a way that I could refine these into Fine transmutation stones, such as a mystic forge recipes consisting of a basic transmutation stone and a mystic coin or something.
Game code Build Savers
This was something amazing in GW1. I’m the kind of player that gets bored of playing the same thing…which is why I have all of the different professions. But I also get bored of using the same builds on these professions. Guild Wars 1 had an awesome build saving mechanic that I could easily save and load builds that I’ve used in the past. This will be more complex with the involvement of retraining traits, but even if you could only load these builds at a trait training NPC, it would be a much better system than having to manually select and remember all of my healing, utility, and elite skills, as well as all of my trains for every build and profession.
Pet/Minion AI – especially dodging
The biggest problem for pets to me right now is they can’t dodge. I saw a post that talked about pets dodging whenever you dodge, and I think that it would be nice to see my pet evade big attacks that I do, especially with large dungeon bosses and such where they are constantly either dying or on swap recharge. Minions may be a little harder to design an AI for, but I would like to see some improvement with pets, at least in dodging.
Map-wide Dynamic Event viewing
Pretty much speaks for itself. If I’m on the south side of a map and there’s an event going on at the top, I would like to know about it if I look on my world map, at least.
Better/More Underwater Elites
Perfect example is the thief…It’s a pain to have to use the venom elite underwater…especially when it is so brutally underpowered.
PvP Menu Hotkey
Not a big deal, but a hotkey to open up the PvP menu would be nice.
Guild Capes and Halls
What happened to these? They were awesome from GW1, I would like to have an option to display my guild’s cape and emblem like I could in GW1. Also, I believe guild halls have been beaten to death already, but they would still be a nice option.
Dungeon tokens
I several dungeon tokens that are just sitting on my people or in my bank. I would really like to see these being either a collectable item, or something more in terms of currency. A collectable slot wouldn’t do much since it could only hold a stack (250) which is next to none, but I think something like the “collection of laurels” idea should also be applied to dungeon tokens.
Spear/Trident comparison
This is something that has literally bothered me since DAY 1. Every time I get an underwater weapon drop, it seems to compare it to the opposite kind of underwater weapon. Example: I get a spear, and want to see if it’s better than what I currently am using. It compares it to trident instead (which is sometimes not even in the primary underwater weapon slot). It’s actually really annoying to constantly go back and manually try to compare them.
This is all I can think of at the moment: I might add more later if I think of any others…but I think a lot of these would be very nice.
