Dev - show love for the necromancer
Necromancer is an awesome profession and my second favorite in the whole game. I do agree they need to improve this profession a bit, since right now it feels quite lame and forgotten, and due to this, it is quite unwanted for dungeons and most of the PvE contents…
I really hope Devs will consider this, as well as all the discussion in Necromancer forum, I trust they will

Odd…my summoner does VERY well 1v1 against all classes in spvp.
Use your summons well and you will destroy anyone 1v1. I find that it is also capable of fighting a losing battle in which people are foolish to stay. Holding off 8 people at once with creative use of your summons (purposefully lining up multiple enemies in a trample is easier than you think)….sure I will die, but it takes them awhile to get me down. Thus they kill me to have my team flip every capture point.
Just find a build and style that fits what you are after. Scepter/dagger will bleed an entire team with ease, weakening everyone. attack someone that is downed 3-4 times and the bleed will kill them no matter what they do on it’s own (so hilarious doing this to thieves or mesmers). I’ve killed more than a few stealth spammign thieves by simply bleeding them to death and dodging their big blows.
The only build I have never…and I honestly mean never…found any use at all is dagger mainhand. The necro is not built for true melee combat and the life leach/life siphon skills do not work nearly well enough to offset the damage taken in melee.
The necromancer is best played as a debilitator…don’t try to blur kill, dot them up and move on tot he next one. Having a well to drop to reverse all boons can single handedly make a guardian kill their own team when facing you. Just work on what you want to do and build for that purpose. If you want to be a huge tank…axe mainhand and build for fast shroud building…you would be surprised how long you survive…
To engineering. (not sure if engineering reads these regularly)
I really enjoy the Guildwars 2 game. I especially enjoy my necromancer. Its a great character for support and I’ve gotten used to the skills. But the challenge I have, is that it is not a good class for direct 1 on 1 fighting. What’s worse is that everyone goes after the necromancer first because he cant stealth, he cant duplicate, and he is weak on armor…all he can do is run and throw marks and siphon. Doesn’t it seem like all builds should have some diversity to their fight game, including some skills which are great for either support or 1 on1 ? If I would like to fight 1 on 1 as a necro it would be very nice to have ways that I can build my character to be dominant for that and not so much for support. But I find that no matter what the build the necro is always a weak target. I kill targets, but many times im running in circles as I throw marks and dodge.
Im speculating now, but I have been playi9ng for a long time and I have tried a variety of different builds and armor. And I suspect that if you were to run reports for all of the top players who are doing the most damage, the necromancers will be few or they are all going to be at the bottom of the list.
I ask you as sort of a test. Just take a necro into an area like Eternal Battlegrounds Jumping Puzzle and fight a variety of people 1 on1 and try to write down your wins versus losses. change up your build and try again. See how you do overall.
I ask that you review the necromancer skills and damage potential. I also ask that you review the effectiveness and efficiency of the minions, who with all due respect they seem to lumber around.
I love the game and appreciate any consideration you may give in the future.
Ehmm no, just no.
Ive played against a Necromancer, and they can even get very powerfull or tanky etc etc. No they cant dublicate, they can creat ALOT of minions, that are pretty hard to get throug, yes they can tank. Actualy, some people would say that necroes even are to OP since they almost can do everything. They are great to have in PvP since they fear/tank…..you know what I mean. (if they know how to play, and not just jump around just out of the actual point and let the enemy get it.)
Dungeons, lol, ofc they are good to have in fractals etc, the only place which they arent “OP” is prob the CoF p1 since mesmer/war is the good run. But if you go full condition team, it actually works pretty well, until last boss, but he wont have time be4 the rest conditions from eles and necroes just jump in his face.
ALL classes are balanced, and necroes is FAR from a un-OP class, not in WvW, not in PVE and 100% not in PvP

get the best builds you know of, mainly against every possible char. Then start of with the build your good at, and in the second run you basecly know who your against, there its easy to decide what to pick.”
every char can win over anyone and back, the builds are 100% the reason of winning/lossing
Necro’s have been BUFFED the last few patches. Necro’s are played by players who think they’re in WoW. Either adapt or Shh.
