When fighting I prefer to use the double-tap for dodging.

However, it has no use outside of combat, and it’s already happened once that, as I was positioning myself for a jump to reach a vista, my tapping the movement keys resulted in me catapulting off a cliff.

Can you please make an option so that the double-tap is only active when the character is in combat?

Just a suggestion — if you use a mouse with mouse4/mouse5 buttons on the side, try binding your dodge and weapon swapping to them. I used double-tap to dodge for awhile until, like you, it caused me headaches in jumping puzzles. I rebound them to the side of my mouse, and it works great for me.

What happens when you need to dodge an incoming attacks (telegraphed) but you aren’t in combat yet (whether due to range or just trying to run past mobs)?

Annoying if you have this option turned on when challenging some of the difficult vistas or JP. Maybe they could give us a key customization to toggle this feature,. then it is an easy and quick toggle when you need them in a specifically hard jump which requires precise adjustment, and you don’t want your adjustment to become an unintended dodge.

A keybind (default: unbound) for toggling that would do the trick.

I would also like for dodge to actually dodge and not just roll me in place without dodging as it sometimes does.
