Large-Scale Battles – Probably one of the biggest complaints I have are these battles. There are so many players and so much going on, you can’t see what is really happening, the lag is TERRIBLE, you take damage or die and don’t know how or why, sometimes you can’t even rez players because there is too much going on or you keep getting hit or knocked down (and don’t know why). It really just looks like one big indiscernible mess. I honestly don’t know the best solution for these but as they are now, I find them annoying and just not as fun as the rest of the game. I especially find the newest battle with Teq to be a waste of time. That one is probably the worst one to participate in and just isn’t fun.

I’ve been involved in the zerg since the original Karka events and I can say I’ve never had a problem figuring out what was going on, nor what I was attacking. That event was also the first and last time I experienced such lag that I couldn’t move, could barely attack and sometimes couldn’t even see the mobs attacking me.

They have improved server stability and lag immensely, if you’re still having trouble that’s probably on you. Either your ISP or your system. With culling a thing of the past there shouldn’t be any question what is hitting you. It isn’t necessarily interesting being one of the faceless masses, but Guild Wars has never been about the story of you.

I’ve never lagged out in a battle, and I do SB everytime it’s up right now. As for not knowing what’s going on, in those battles you usually should only be targetting one or two mobs, this means that you just tab-target around the enemies and all of a sudden you know what you’re hitting. On a side note:

This guy has like five threads with these “Disappointing Game Mechanics” . . . I can’t imagine why you would still playing the game if you hate so much about it.

Ability is what you can do; Motivation is how much you do; Attitude is how well you do it.

lag? what lag
there are aoes that have huge damage learn to know them and stay away from them
if your getting knocked around then eighter use stabilety or move out of the way.
if your talking pve the best fight out there is eighter kill the risen prist of grenth or teq. rest is just mindless zerging with a give me more loots now mentalety in my opinion and cant wait for the other dragons to be redone so they are harder and more fun.
but fun is a matter of opinion(as you can see as my fun is totally diffrent then yours) so eighter come with ways to improve it or keep it to yourself
