Guild Wars 2

Hello Guildwars2 Community, I’ve played many MMOs and I always play the Ranger/Hunter type class (or Proffesion). Let me start off by saying I love love LOVE the pet system in Guildwars 1. It was great! You go out, find a animal in the wild. Then tame it, and bring it to the Zashian place. You got to see your collection populate the island. Now I am not saying Anet needs to do this for Guildwars 2 (though it would be nice (-: ). But with any MMO I love to explore, and with exploration comes discovery, and what is better as a ranger/hunter than discovering a new animal companion every now and then along your journey? At first when I played this game in the Beta I was fairly disappointed that you could see a list at the very start that has all the animals that you can “charm”. I would rather that not be there. But that is ok, that can stay. My idea is that these pets can stay listed (or just a handful). They can be organized under a “starter” listing, such as the first dyes you start off with, except you don’t start off with them. You just know what you will encounter on the starting of your journey. When Anet adds new pets into the game nothing will show up under the pets tab before you charm them. So you have to discover it yourself, rather that be at the end of a jumping puzzle, instance, DEs, etc The possibility’s are endless with guildwars 2. Once you charm this pet, a slot will appear on the tab. Just as it does already. This way the discovery will stay intact with the pet collecting. I really hope they do something like this. Please share your thoughts, and ideas in the comments, I would really like to hear what you guys think on the current system of collecting pets and how it can be improved. Thanks guys!
