This has probably been mentioned before as I know I’m not the only nor first to request this but just to reiterate.
Please implement a Distance meter under your targets name at the top of the screen. Also I would love to have access to a damage/heal readout in WvWvW & Dungeons like provided in Structured PvP after you die, but available at any time instead.

Had this pointed out to me recently.
Under each skill there is a (miniscule) bar that shows red if enemy mob/player is out of range.
Prefer your suggestion though.
I think the damage meter is a bad idea. It brings out the worst in people. I completely agree on the range finder, though. In fact, I posted that same suggestion a couple days ago but it went to the depths quietly.

Which is exactly what ANet doesn’t want. GW2 is best when people don’t think about numbers too much but instead focus on building a character that suits their play-style. Once people factor in numbers the theorycrafters start taking over and for a game like GW2, that doesn’t really have cutting edge content, it’s not necessary.
A range meter would be nice. A damage one would be nice if it just worked on self only. Can a just builds better. People are going to roughly do the math mentally and try to max their dps anyways. So saying theorycraftering is not necessary is not going to stop people who like this aspect of mmos. The problem is not being able to see your dps it is being able to see other players dps. That is what causes the problems with wanting to kick some one because they are lower.
