Divinity's Reach's Lonely Streets...
It’s probably some coding problem, while story steps can show up anywhere in the map, events are only specific to the zone
Also, supposing they did implement this, everyone would be wasting money WP’ing to the event, only to find out it finished 5 minutes ago. Or they wouldn’t go at all because WP’ing for one event isn’t worth it
The reward for killing enemies as part of the events + the money for actually completing the events should be enough to cover WP costs, money isn’t really a problem, for people who do it for fun.
It would also be designed for the event to stop being advertised when the event becomes more than 65% complete(or something like that).
I’ve been thinking more about it, obviously there is far too many events to have npc’s alerting for all of them so it think it should be worlds events and maybe large group events.
Also mini dungeons are underused, there should be npc’s that give quests to complete/recover items from the end of mini dungeons. Just like any normal quest, from any normal MMO, It can help you find them. People complain there’s nothing to do endgame, this will help people find things to do.
If there was any flaw to be picked at with this, it’s the fact that dynamic events give very little reward for completing if you’re level 80.
I think there should be 1 time rewards for every event. But that’s a different issue.
It makes me sad when i go to my home in Divinities Reach… It’s such a beautifully detailed city yet it feels empty when i go there…
So much effort has gone into creating so many huge and amazing cities in Gw2 but they go unseen by many because the game is designed in a way that doesn’t require you to be there apart from a few personal story quests.
I would like them to be:
- more lively populated and have more of a social community feel to them.
- a place where adventurers can meet and party up before going on there adventures.
- a place where i can be more immersed in the world without literally role-playing.
Basically i want them to have more of a purpose! My suggestion is simply to make event alerting npc’s for dynamic events be inside the cities as well. Maybe place npc’s in certain places to initiate some events?
Example: An npc run’s round divinities reach pleading for help, for a giant is attacking a village in Gendarran Fields! If you speak to him he will mark where it is on your map. Go and kill him and come back.It probably won’t happen, but I can’t think of any reason for it not to be implemented.
I’ve got 100% world completion, but i’ve barely scratched the surface of all the fun events there are in the world to be completed and it’s not in my nature to run around in circles hoping something will pop up for me to do so i think this suggestion is 2 problems solved in 1 small adjustment.
You should have gone for the RP heavy servers, like Tarnish Coast.
The city is pack with RPers in Taverns and city-scape.

It’s not really RPing that i want to do though, I’m still in it for the gameplay, dungeons and WvW and such.
It would just be nice to see normal players fill cities the same way as lions arch.
But I will guest over to those servers and see what it’s like, when it’s updated of course.
