Do something about movement in wvw
So you weren’t paying attention to your surroundings or where the enemy was running (probably intentionally towards the raptor in an attempt to get you dazed and off their backs), and used a speed skill that would generate damage on nearby enemies and are angry that it worked as intended?
And because of that you want others to be punished for it?
No, I want the game not to be effected by quirky mechanics, and be able to play it without having to worry about details that make no sense whatsoever
simply look behind you to see if some mobs/enemies are chasing you, if so dont pop a symbol of swiftness or something that may put you into combat
Madness Rises [Rise] – Banners Hold.
Don’t argue with idiots, they pull you down their level and own you with experience.

There’s nothing quirky about it. If you damage something (non-aesthetic) you go into combat. You slow down in combat. This is very reliable.
So being able to use any sort of aoe to litteraly slow down an entire train of people doesnt seem like manipulating the physics of the game to you? Out of combat speed was introduced so that people could cross distances faster in pve. its not supposed to effect ACTUAL combat. And i was IN combat long before I accidently hit that bird. The second I see a red name im IN combat, nobodys gotten hit is all.

I see names in red all the time without getting into combat so I don’t know what you’re talking about there and if you do get in combat without hitting anything at all, immediately send in a bug report. Because THAT is a bug.
But if you press a skill button or attunement switch button to speed up too close to a creature that is not an ambient or a friendly (green named) creature and it causes damage that is working as intended. And you need to pay better attention to your surroundings. Not add in things to punish other players for your lack of paying attention to your surroundings.
