There is nothing for organised groups of 15-20 people to do in this game AT ALL. The dragons are just zergs and really you just tag it then akitten a corner to wait for your loot.
They might as well ditch dragons and just give me my rare and loot for just turning up when they spawn lol
Any chance of bigger dungeons where you have to manage more people, or any chance of challenging pve content?
I quit pve ages ago. Any indication raids are coming or…?

In a recent interview, Colin said that it’s extremely unlikely that they would make instanced content for more than 5 people.
If Tequatl is Guild Wars 2’s incarnation of raids, then I’d enjoy more of them IF the ratio of bad players to good weren’t so painfully lopsided.

This gw2 not eq2 or wow quit just quit if they added that kinda stuff then people would just start complaining that its turned into a WoW clone which is refreshing .
also you cant expect to kill them big baddy on the first try its a learning experience and its a great way to bring a server together when youir not stuck in a overflow.
This game has been successful for 1 year without raids.
So no, it seems this game doesn’t need instanced raids at all, open world ones are fine.
1.wait until tequatl fever has gone away
2.get into an organized guild
3. defeat tequatl with said organized guild
4.wait until dragon rewards are reworked.

Your too late to the party. Raids have already been discussed in several dozen threads over the past year. Take a look in the suggestions forum, where this thread will be moved along with all the rest of them shortly.
I use to raid hardcore in another MMO and I thought I would miss it at first but I don’t, not even in the slightest.
I mean I understand why a developer might want to employ raids, they really are cheap content – just make one instance and have your playerbase run it for 6 months to a year by slowly trickling out gear on gear dependent fights.
And let’s face it, the market for raiding is really tiny – even a game like WoW where raids are the end all be all, less than 5% of their playerbase even does them.
Tequatl gets big thumbs up from me though, I really enjoy the epic battle without all the associated grind of raiding

Dragons have been easy compared to temples. Temples are closer to old-school raiding. Downside is they really need to give commanders some group tracking – which would mean 30 man party… like a raid group. Good for W3 and pve. So raids are kind of here already, but w/o the tools it’s more of a half-kittened job.

No, there is no chance of bigger dungeons, they have stated this multiple times. The main issue comes from their no trinity system. There’s simply no way to organize the raids that people are used to.
As mentioned above, we already have temples, world bosses, tequatl, wvw tower/keep/castle raids, etc. I think more open world ‘raiding’ like this is the way to go. But, they should try to design so that the content isn’t easily completed by just bringing more people in and spamming DPS. (…I don’t think the new timers on world bosses are a good decision either)

I am not trying to be negative but there current system is not working. I think they are at a cross roads that will determine the future of GW2. I think if they continue on there current progression they will lose most there player base in the upcoming year. I think they will be forced to add instance content at some point I just hope its not to late. I am really glad Anet added something like Tequatl but they did it completely wrong.
Tequatl is basically a zerg and is really a extremely unfun fight. I have yet to here anyone say they are getting more then 20-40 fps in the fight there is so much lag going on u cant do most of the mechanics. Things like jumping dodging and just simply moving are a chore. I am sorry but lag is not a game mechanic regardless of what people think.
I predict now that in a month or two it will be a ghost town abandoned because most guilds will have finished the content and there will be no organization.

Yeah he said that’s because it would take people forever in lfg to get a 10/20/30 man together. Apparently he hasn’t heard of Guilds in Guild Wars 2.

Don’t know, is it actually hard now? Difficult to believe that ANet released something that isn’t just pure zerg gameplay.
I’m assuming loot is still garbage though?
I quit after that pathetic LS open world attacks by whatsherface and her billions of minions, tired of my bags being filled in minutes with pure trash.
Kinda sad how it’s way too hectic and difficult to see individual corpses to loot what you want instead of having to spam F. I find it hard to believe this has changed.

Well, you’re pretty much screwed if a) you’re in Overflow or b) no-one organizes beforehand.
As for rewards, I couldn’t tell you. Haven’t beaten it in the twice I did it.
