I’m sure this has been posted before but I didn’t see it on the first 2-3 pages of suggestions.
The down mechanic really needs to be looked at in how it affects the flow of PvP.
It is the biggest flaw this game has at the moment. WvW and sPvP are both clunky because of the down mechanic. It interupts the flow of what would otherwise be a fast paced gaming experience.
I personally think it should be removed from PvP altogether, but I’m guessing the developers are far too stubborn to admit the down mechanic was a bad idea in PvP.
AN is striving so hard to “break the mold” of previous MMO’s. While I applaud them for this, some aspects of the MMO genre didnt really need any tweaking. In particular, the one where you kill your opponent when you take his health to zero.
I’ve already had 2 guildies quit because they couldn’t handle the down mechanic. It’s a fine novelty in PvE but it has no place whatsoever in PvP. I scratch my head everytime I head into the Borderlands and ask myself repeatedly, “What were they thinking when they added this to PvP??”
ArenaNet, you’ve made a good game here, but you’ve horribly missed the mark with this feature.
