I have hoped this change would have been implemented a LONG time ago but it seems like it has not been suggested enough or for some reason, people would disagree with this.
There have been countless situations where i have been in WvW or PvP, having a 1 on 1 fight with someone, getting them downed, trying to finish them, and then having a second player come in, finish me being weakened from the previous fight, and then revive his teammate. This is completely unfair.
If you get a player into a downed state, they have lost the fight against you. It is not fair that even though they LOST they can be redeemed just because they were lucky enough to have some other person walk by.
This problem is the absolute worst in 1v3-1v4 battles. There have been many many times were i have gotten 1 or 2 players into a downed state in these situations, but being overtaken cannot win.
I think that removing downed state form WvW and PvP would be an excellent change. It would stop rewarding weak players, and help stronger players ACCOMPLISH something without having to have a group of 5-6 people with them. I’m so sick and tired of trying to find the a downed thief who keeps teleporting across the map, or have a random player come in and ruin a fair 1v1 fight.
