I was thinking about whole downed state function.
In downed you have 4 skills,2 attacks,1utility(mist,stealth,rally) and heal.
If somebody is attacking you, and you are using skill4 – healing, it will reset and you will need to wait CD to start it again.
This meanes in fight 1vs1, that enemy dont need to finish you, but he can just shoot you from away. And it is totally logic and ideal solution.
But if somebody is healing You, and he is shoot, his healing will not break,only his health will suffer.
It is completely not logic and making situations like ranger on wall shooting somebody in downed state, your friend will come and heal you faster than ranger can kill you. Ok bad example, but ele with staff fire 1 fireball which has aoe dmg will make dmg to both, you and your friend.
But if healing from your friend will have same functionalities like downed state 4 – heal, that would be logical.
Friend is ressing you, he is hit, breaks ressing, small CD like on downed skill (1 sec i suppose) and he will need to start ressing again – press F button again.
Why this change? AoE is limited to 5, in big battles you have good chance to not be hit. Still it would take longer to ress somebody, and a single necro on wall can disrupt your friend ressing and manage to kill person in downed state – you.
Remember how many times in WvW there was zerg at gate, you on wall with AC shooting down and was not able to kill sombody because they were succesfully ressed while you were shooting on them whole time.
This will change WvW into real fights where one soldier on bad place in bad time can make difference.
This will change WvW siege engines to something usefull because well placed single AC can defend tower attacked by 5 people. PvD will not be the option no more.
And of course, it will put ressing from both sides equal. Player in downed or the one ressing him.
