Dragon mounts
This suggestion is even worse than the usual mount suggestions. You are suggesting the most lorebreaking mount possible for the game. Not only that, but all the problems with a flying mount… the jumping puzzles… just flying over the walls in WvW ruining the defending part of it all. I don’t even like WvW that much and I can see how bad an idea this is.
Ok maybe a bit harshly said. I don’t really mean to be rude, so sorry
The point is that it would be bad both lorewise and within certain mechanics. So although flying on a dragon seems very cool and all, this is not the game for it.
The downfall being that JP would become obsolete and people could just fly into keeps (making siege redundant).
Land mounts: possibly, if they increased the size of the areas and kept the waypoints to a minimum.
Time is a river.
The door is ajar.
Hahahahahahahaha.
Yes, because who needs walls in WvW when you could just fly over them.

You could build anti-aircraft weaponry
This should only be possible if my ranger could also tame a dragon as my pet. Kralkatorrik would be cool, but I would settle for the Shatterer following me around and dive bombing anything that tries to attack me :P
Note, the post above was entirely sarcastic (though a cool thought) and I know entirely how lore breaking that would be. Not to mention how kitten off people would get from waiting 3 hours to kill the Shatterer only to have a ranger come up and tame it, and leave the rest of us with no chest or anything :P

All what you said it absolutely true. Yeah i was thinking there would quite alot of downfalls of my idea. I just thought it would be fun cruising around on a flying mount. Just to let you know i took no offense what so ever its just criticism its fine.
I would like to see riding mounts but not flying mounts because ArN was trying to make the world a living place with bosses re-spawning around the clock but if you have a flying mount you wont even notice whats happening on the ground you will be to busy getting from point-A to point-B. but with a riding mount you will still be traveling on the ground and still see NPCs and people helping out with veterans. Last Dragon flying mounts is a UN-thought out idea because, what is our main enemy in the game i thought it was DRAGONs and to see someone riding one is not right
