Drop Combat Button
You could just run further away from the action. If you didn’t drop combat and were all alone in the middle of nowhere then maybe I would say there was a problem.
If we had a drop combat button that would be heavily abused for WP ressing and simply escaping from combat when you are low, denying everyone a kill.
You mean a button that people could easily abuse by pressing then porting out of dangerous situations? This would cause WAY more problems than it would solve….I mean what game has a drop combat button?
Tell me again about how you stayed in combat while you were standing in a zerg that was in combat…. Just run away till you’re not in combat any more, that’s what everyone does.
If you had the time to channel a 10 second spell that would cancel the moment you took any damage then it wasn’t that dangerous was it?
I was not in a party.
The zerg was by the fort. I was on the middle of the bridge away from everything.
Never left combat probably because the guy I attacked when he was running into the building never died.
I fail to see how this could be abused except in PvE where you could conceivably run far enough from a boss where it couldn’t reach you in 10 seconds. I’ve yet to see where this could legitimately be abused, but I’ve only done fractals for the most part.
I disagree. We do need the game to accurately define the combat state and move the status indicator, which in my experience it does a good job of. We don’t need a button to put us out of combat at our whim and for our convenience.
This would just be too easy with some of the classes. I mean, it’s easy enough as it already is to break combat, let alone give a free “evade for 10s” waypoint option.
You could have just run a little further away… maybe 5 seconds away and back
