Dueling!!
I have to say, that dueling would be neat to have. I am unsure if GW1 had it or not, but either way, I think dueling would be a nice feature.
Would have liked to see more reasons in the main thread for adding dueling, but I have to agree with you. There have been too many times already where I wished to test the might of my elementalist against my friend’s warrior. A dueling system would be perfect for this game, as it would allow friends/competitors to duel it out, and show they can handle their own. Sure, Guild Wars 2 operates on team based and cooperative play, but, it would still be nice to get some 1v1 action every once in a while, my friends and I would enjoy the hell out of it. Basically, it could be done one of two ways:
1. A specific area, like WvWvW or PvP where players go to and can start the duels
2. A Duel Anywhere take on it, where players can challange each other anywhere; this will allow for players to set up the landscape for their fights (underwater, on a mountain, a cliff, hill, etc.)
Dueling is definitely an option that should be explored in Guild Wars 2; I hope we get some more input on this.
We are sworn together by our blood…
Would love to see dueling in gw2, sometimes I get the urge to battle my friends and kicking their kitten :P I think if it does get implemented it will be put into the PvP area as it would fit in nicely there imo.
Edit: lmao! I certainly don’t get any urges to kick kittens haha a-net you have trolled me again xD
Please add soon anet!!!! Maybe then I can join a match in the morning without a bunch of kids yelling “OMG WE’RE DUELING YOU IDIOT!”.
yees! like all the other mmos are group games too like group pvp and stuff but they still have dueling like why not it´s not going to change anything anyway it´s just for fun so come on anet!!
I’ll sign this, I want duelling. Why not let us spar in the a Mist Arena, or duel in Fort Mariner?
I think it should be the same as a party, or guild invite. Right click their icon and request duel. With some places that don’t allow it like cities.
