Dungeon Finder
I feel the same way. I really, really, really want a dungeon finder tool similar to what wow had back when i played it a couple years ago. The last I read (maybe 2 months ago?) was that Anet is planning and working on some sort of dungeon finder, but they will not suggest a time when it would be available. All we can do is just wait for it when it does come and hope that it helps folks out like us.
They`re working on it but I don`t think it`s high on their to do list.
Use gw2lfg.com
Some smart person did in a few weeks what ANet couldn’t do in years. They should hire this person.
Unfortunately it still takes hours to find groups for Arah explorable with all the third party websites.
They have stated they are working on “something”, but there’s obviously no ETA.
In the meantime you’ll have to make do with third-party websites and in-game chat.
Do you mean like the WoW dungeon finder?

Dungeons and Dragons online has the best LFG system in my opinion……if Anet is even considering implementing one, they should seriously look at DDO’s and see how it should be done…..easily the best, simplest and most player friendly one ive ever seen.
Agreed, I find myself playing less and less because I really like Dungeons but I don’t have the time it normally take to form a group and I find spamming LFG in Lion’s Arch or other “hub” boring and tedious. With how easy it is to “play with others” in other parts of this game, the lack of a good dungeon finder (or LFG) is baffling. Rift implemented one, DCUO implemented one, and I’m sure ANET will implement one eventually. I’ll be back once they do
BTW.
You can walk to the instance entry, and look for group there (like most people.). Why are you staying in Lions Arch…?

1.Guest in a populated server.
2. Click a dungeon waypoint. Type /m [Insert profession/lvl] lf a group.
3. Enter dungeon.
4. Wait for an invitation during min. 1 sec. Max. 10min.
5. Profit.
If you can’t do that then you are mentally lazy.
Edit: 3. Wait for an invitation during min. 1 sec. Max. 10min.
4. Enter dungeon.

Alternate 2.:
Click a dungeon waypoint. Type /m “LFM x instance /join me”
Click a dungeon waypoint. Find another player. Type /m “LF3M x instance”.
Yes, it’s this simple OP.
You could also join a guild.

Maybe. But this battle is already lost. WoW did actually have a group finder feature before it got the dungeon finder it has now. It required people to go to a specific place and flag up. It did already do more than GW2 does because you didn’t have to spam chat, but it was still not enough for the majority of players.
I usually don’t like dungeon finders that remove the requirement to actually walk there, but I think in GW2 it wouldn’t actually have a big impact on world population. People looking for dungeons usually wait in front of it and can teleport there anyway. In fact if there was a dungeon finder that removed the need to look for people manually, maybe more players would play the actual map they’re waiting in while they’re waiting.

you know… it is WAY more simple to make a webbased list ppl can submit LFG’s to than it would ever be incorporating it ingame. even if they took gw2lfg directly and copied it all, and we assumed the coding would work for the parts it stands for (which in itself is unlikely) they maybe get 5% of the work needed done only. And on top of that Anet have more stuff to do than just implementing a lfg feature, unlike the person that made gw2lfg.
No im not saying ANet shouldn’t make one, but only that it is not as simple as you make it sound
i am surprised there’s no LFG channel in game;p

Ya, we all know how hard it is to click a dungeon waypoint, spam chat during 2 minutes, and get in a group.
