Ok, maybe this has already been suggested but a quick search surprisingly didn’t turn up any.

What the title says. Hard mode for dungeons, just like hard mode was for zones in the original GW. They could reward new dungeon tokens to buy new gear skins (not better stats). Nothing really changes except all the enemies go up a few levels and are harder to kill, and the reward is cooler armor. For those players who are finding current dungeons too easy.

Personally I’m against Hard Mode, because of the very real potential that it will fracture the player base more. There is already a limited pool of people who run dungeons/Fractals, with the rest going to WvW/PvP and some just sticking to PvE because dungeons are already beyond what they can handle. Creating another difficulty mode will just split the pool of dungeoneers in two and encourage more cookie-cutter builds. (It’s already happening for higher levels of Fractals, from what I hear.) I don’t want a repeat of what happened in GW1 where if you weren’t running a specific PvX build (e.g. an assassin who wasn’t a Perma Shadow Form tank), you would NEVER find a group willing to take you into FoW/UW/[insert end-game content here].

I wouldn’t mind if this was brought into the game, but I don’t believe it will. Currently they are working on giving bosses more interesting mechanics and phases so the fights aren’t so boring. I also read something about scaling the difficulty back up on some of the dungeons to where they used to be.
