The daily reward would be better suited to the timer IMO… and maybe some other means of punishing the team for deaths. I think anything that encourages people to revive their team mates is good.
The harder content would require you needing a whole party I would think inspiring people to resurrect players. I am not sure If I states both would be used at the same time meaning the timer and team deaths so it would make a team try to push forward but also being careful about it.
The method I am describing was used in Global Agenda PvE UMAX instances. You got the xtra xp and better rewards for playing it.
Check the top right of this youtube video you will see the timer and team deaths.

Lol, cue the “NO TIMER, SPEEDRUNNERS ARE EXPLOITERS!” posts…
If you wanna propose a timer though, I wouldn’t say ‘finish in this time or get kicked’, I’d propose a timer like the missions in GW1. Finish before a certain time: Masters reward, between one time and another: Expert’s reward, finish after a certain time: normal rewards. Adjust drops and chest rewards based on the timer.
Could even add in checkpoints: kill this boss before this time: Master, etc. That way, you could get a nice chest if you get to your first boss fast enough, but if you screw up between that one and the next one, you’d lose your reward, because you got slowed down.
I’m pretty sure this will never happen though, just throwing it out there.
Not to mention my idea would probably cause a huge movement of people just running the first boss of a dungeon for the chest… So, unless there is a workaround that, scratch the checkpoint idea.

The rewards could be progressively more appealing as you advanced through the dungeon. Maybe a guaranteed rare for the first chest, guaranteed exotic for the second, double cash and tokens for dungeon completion.
The real problem with implementing this would be ANet’s inability to gauge just how fast we can realistically complete their dungeons – knowing them it’d probably be 10 minutes for Arah or an hour for CoF. Until they can balance out dungeon paths to make them all roughly equivalent in difficulty and time taken, all this hard mode stuff is out of the question.
I know how you can clear Arah p1,2 and 3 in <10 minutes
Not to mention, 15-20mins for those paths really aren’t that hard.

Not in GW2. There already are difficult dungeons. In some parts, If a player is down, the rescue is very difficult to near impossible. Unless you are a Guardian, you will never res a player lying down in a huge combo field.
