I’ve been doing dungeons since my first character was lvl 30 somewhere near the first few weeks of the game. I’ve seen dungeons go from awesome to mediocre to decent to loot-craptastic to where it is now. I understand the reasonings behind most of the nerfs. And I’m gonna be completely honest, I didn’t go through all 747 pages of posts to see if this was posted or not.

So here’s my suggestion. Do whatever you feel the need to do to adjust the dungeons for playstyle. I liked the difficulty level choices, but most people just farm the dungeons. I like dungeons because it helps my guild learn teamwork, and helps them to adjust their character to different situations.

The loot, however, is absolutely terrible.

I go through dungeons thinking I may have a chance to get at least 1 rare, but no. Never. I’m lucky to get a green. And while, yes, I understand that it is a farmable exploit… I think everything is. At least dungeons can take up to half an hour. I would like to believe that much work for at least 1 item of rare or higher is worth it. Dragons take, what? five minutes to kill max? It saddens me that something I loved to do is now nerfed to the point of not worth doing.

How about you do something like was implemented in hard mode in GW1. Keep track of enemies killed. The more enemies killed, the higher chance of loot drop. The more bosses killed, the higher chance of rare/exotic loot drop. That way, by the end of the dungeon, there’s a REALLY GOOD chance that someone will get a rare, if not two or three people in the dungeon.

For someone who doesn’t farm, speed rush, or do anything overly excessive for dungeons or other such things in the game (yeah, I suppose I’m a casual play-every-day kind of person), it would be nice to see some people get something other than blues and those god awful trolls of tonics as their ‘yellow’ drop. >.<

tl,dr?

Increase higher loot rate as the dungeon progresses. Keep track of enemy kills as an additional way to increase higher loot drop. Make the LAST boss have a chest with at least one person (out of 5, I don’t think that’s pushing it!) getting a rare or exotic.

Oh, and thanks for making such an awesome game. Still hooked on it since beta.

So you want every dungeon to be like Fractals…..why not just run fractals
