The recent changes to dungeon reward and what they said they want seems to be completely out of sync and I honestly believe someone did a last minute job or they have not played this game at all. Here is what I believe should have been introduced.

AC-
P1: 1g
P2: 1.75g
P3: 1g

CM-
P1: 1.75g
P2: 1.75g
P3: 1.75g

TA-
U: 1.25g
F/F: 1.5g
F/U: 1.75g

SE-
P1: 1.25g
P2: 1.5g
P3: 1.5g

CoF-
P1: 1g
P2: 1g
P3: 1.75g

HoTw-
P1: 1g
P2: 2g
P3: 2g

CoE-
P1: 1.25g
P2: 1.75g
P3: 1.5g

Arah-
P1: 3g
P2: 3g
P3: 2.5g
P4: 3g

So on top of this, the 26s at the end of the dungeon should have been removed. With the 26s + the bag of wonderous goods(2-4s) + Champ bags (6-8s), they are not discouraging anyone from farming cof p1. However the removal of the 26s at the end + the above dungeon reward changes would encourage people to move away from farmed dungeons.

Pretty good. Not sure why P3 in Arah is less than P2 though since my guild runs P2 faster. Unless you can’t skip the content anymore after the patch.

P1 and P4 should be 10g. It’s the hardest dungeon paths in the game. Just sayin’

Anet did everything I guessed, giving most dungeon 1 gold, and the hardest path 3 gold.

Only thing I guess wrong is I thought they’ll only give cof path1 50 silver.

The truth is Anet buffed the reward for every dungeon. There might be less complaint if Anet did what I original guessed and put cof path 1 at 50 silver.

Oh yah, SE2, HOTW23, COF3 I think obviously deserver 1.50 or 2 gold.

Beside that, All my guess is right.

I think the whole point is to nerf cof farmers. Beside that everyone else really is getting more gold for any of the dungeon path.

I’m tired of gold. I wanna put supply back into the market. Something other people can actually use. Like Thread/Herbs, Blood, and T6’s & stuff… But the only way to do that is farm in a tiny little circle somewhere out in open PvE until D.R. kicks in. There’s nothing social about that either. …oh hey but I just got some Champion Coffers in Orr though, that’s kinda almost from teamwork… Let me unbox those right now b/c Colin said they’d contain Materials we’d really like … and maybe some cores/rares…

Geeee… I feel so rewarded now.

3 hours of broken Events, just to get to these Priests & Champions… and nothing new to show for it. …Boy that sure makes me wanna hop into dungeons next and fight even more champions every step of the way with only 4 other people I barely know and get even more of this garbage.

I concur, when are we going to start getting rewards equal to the time and effort we put into playing the game as payed/paying customers instead of the constant repetitive garbage we get now ANET. I really like GW2 and want to love it as much or more than I did playing GW1. +1 ilr.9675.

Using your AC rewards as the baseline, then
CM p1 and p3 should be 1.5 gold instead of 1.75 gold (p2 can stay at 1.75)
TA I agree with.
SE p2 should be 2 gold. SE p3 should be equal p1 at 1.25 gold.
CoF p1 should really be 50 silver. The other paths I agree with.
HotW p3 should be reduced to 1.75 gold.
CoE – really? I actually perfer to run p2 over p1/3 (it’s way faster if your party knows how to dodge), but I can see how some groups might have trouble. – no change.
Arah p3 drop to 2 gold. p1 and p2 dropped to 2.75 gold.

The thing is everyone are expecting a buff.

“All” the dungeon path are already given “more gold than before”.

Your expectation is to buff HOTW p3 and Arah p3.

Maybe the developer don’t want to give us more gold at all (for economy and gem shop reason).

If you really think those dungeon are of different length, do you mind they nerf cof1 and ac3 to 50 silver to balance things out?

The real question is if the developer actually want to give us more gold. That I’m not sure of.

And giving cof and ac some gold give those “casual players” who have limited time some bone.

Not disagreeing with that or trying to sidetrack from it. Just pointing out that giving Gold equal to the effort was never their intent to begin with. If it was, then there would be increased drop rates of EVERY commodity in these dungeons to better incentivize doing them normally instead of just skipping past all the mobs you’re not absolutely required to fight.

This entire update was just one cleverly disguised Rewards Nerf all-around.

Okay so replying to laokoko, I would not mind them reducing cof reward to 50s. I just wrote the list because they said that dungeon rewards would be between 1g-3g. But yeah Im really lost on the motives of what the changes were.

Ilr I agree the patch was a disguise, they probably have a few reasons for these changes however I cant put my finger on it. I did realize though that on the gw2lfg site, the requests have changed from a list of cof p1 farming runs, to more of a variety.

Although the reward allocation does not make sense, the potential for extra gold has got people doing more dungeons. After an hour or so research I did see the trends in dungeon runs changing.

Anyone else notice this or do you see cof p1 farming"zerk wars" still.

PS: Im not sure but it seems like the Flaming effigy in cof p1 has got a heal buff. The healing crystals stacked to 20 today and stayed between 15-20. We had poison on him and was only able to keep his hp steady until his crystal buffs were gone. Any feedback?

See this seems like we are getting on target while “considering length and difficulty”. Thanks for the feedback. I hope Anet decide to use this.

Another question. Do you believe the 26s at the completion of a dungeon should be removed? Maybe nerfed to say 10s? Or would it be better to just keep it.
