Dungeon Solo
Took me a moment to decipher that wall of text there. So – “Guild Wars” to you means guilds and wars, right? NO. It refers to the lore and the game’s backstory, which you would’ve known about as you claim to have followed GW1’s story – try consulting the Wiki.
No, I will not stop discussing the possibility of solo dungeons. This is a suggestions forum and I am supporting a suggestion just as you have the right to oppose that suggestion. You do not have the right to silence people who hold different opinions to you.
Two Worlds? Already have it and don’t see what relevance it has to this discussion here.
GW1 not being an MMO? I didn’t say otherwise. I said that your suggestion that GW1 wasn’t an MMO because it was instanced would also mean that GW2 can’t be one either because the dungeons are instanced. Completely different point.
my advise play a solo game and stop bother people with your personal wish

My advice to you is: if you don’t have anything constructive – positive or negative – to add to this discussion, then just don’t bother contributing at all.
No, there is little reason to play with other players if soloing is possible. Why? Because if you solo you do not have to wait for anyone, not coordinate with anyone, not share rewards (not really a problem in gw). Basicly soloing is a win win situation, and dungeons should be hard content that you require grouping for. You have plenty of things you can do solo in this MULTIPLAYER game already.
If you have problems with finding players for a specific task try searching for people in LA or the map where the specific task is located in while doing other things so you dont just wait around.
I just loved your idea. I’d say i’m 70% party player and 30% solo player and i’d love to see something like this implemented! Scaling difficulty according to your party size would be excelent and would solve some probs like… let’s say CoF being OVERpopulated and Arah/SE/HoW/CM being UNDERpopulated. That way you wouldn’t be needing to wait for endless hours to find a party to actually do the dungeon.
Great idea.
PS: It’s my personal opinion, but people saying “no solo this is a multiplayer game blah blah”. Sirs, this game and any game will certainly do better if it goes both ways and meeting players expectation. Having said that, having the OPTIONAL solo or 2/3 man dungeon option would appeal to much more people, hence the positive reaction overall. DON’T forget that there are peak times and low times and it’s not like everyone can be there on time to find the peak time and grab a party. Many people work, have a life and playing comes after, remember that and those deserve to have fun too.

Ok want to hear a good suggestion since yours isnt as good. make it only soloble for the PERSONAL story line. after that you need people. That way you can play your story out and see the story. Also i want to add since people solo dungeons it will be easier then with a group and should get less loot. its like in the real work no effort no reward. Its weird that people get gold reward while doing almost nothing. example i hit the enemy a few times and run towards the next event. and i get rewarded for the event i was not even there when i completed it. personally i think that is not fair.
I like gw2 but some things have to be fixed. you run away from a event you dont get anything. for dungeon runners if you leave the rest of the group should not be punished. sometimes it happends we all teleport out. this is very annoying. only for this reason alone i could understand why people want to solo a dungeon. and i still believe people put loads of time in it. should be rewarded for the time spend there.
if you are a very casual gamer its allright it just takes your longer to get those things.
nothing wrong with this.
Dungeons shouldn’t be solo. If you want to go solo, play a single player RPG, there are plenty of them around. This is not singleplayer. This is an MMO that places emphasis on teamwork and synergy to defeat otherwise unstoppable foes. If you take out the group play it becomes a bland rerun of the personal story with a bit harder trash and loot with less work involved.
