I’ve been keeping tabs on the group finder. It seems that the vast majority of people who use it for explorable dungeons insist on experienced dungeon runners only.

I don’t care if the alterative takes me longer to get the weapon just as long as I don’t have to deal with that exclusionary attitude.

I don’t do dungeons enough to be considered experienced nor do I think I should have to in order to obtain a weapon that largely for art.

The only idea I can think of is to allow of an exchange of laurels for tokens. A one for one exchange would work for me. I understand that would take me considerably longer than someone who does run dungeons but I’m ok with it.

That would however defeat the whole point of the tokens.
The tokens are dungeons specific because you are supposed to do said dungeon to get access to said dungeons gear.

If you can suddenly get said dungeons gear without ever entering said dungeon the whole system would be pointless.

If you create your own ad saying that you are new to the dungeon and need help, I think many will readily help you as long as you are 80

Another option is to ask guildies or in LA.

I like to help out.

I do not like wiping and restarting for hours on end – and believe me, it has happened. I have no incentive to run a dungeon that could take me twice the time or three times the amount of time…

To be honest, I am usually ready to help a newbie out when I have time and when the ad clearly states that it is their first run. I will usually go through the runs, the boss mechanics and prep them as much as possible so they are ready to tackle the path. I am much less friendly to the ninja noobs who silently make their way into “for experienced players only” group.

i’m a moderately experienced dungeon runner, and i absolutely will not join any party asking for experienced players. that kind of exclusivity really gets under my skin and whats more i know i’m not the only person who feels this way.

just advertise for fun talkative players and you can pick up some like minded individuals.

although dungeons runs with the guild are always the best ones.

I’m not sure if you know how expensive dungeon equipment is. The least expensive 180 for an offhand and over 300 for some armor pieces and 500 for a gift for legendaries. You could spend 6 months of dailies getting the least expensive item or run a dungeon 3 times. Also as others have said it’s supposed to represent mastery of the dungeon. Over 1300 tokens for a full armor set
