Ok, so this is a rather simple system that I think (keyword here) would be rather simple to implement.

Dye Preview System

At its base the Dye System is well implemented and easy to use and understand. The Dye Preview System would add just a small extra bit of easy to understand. The basic premise being that when you mouse of a section of armor to add the dye to that section of armor, the location would be highlighted show what will actually be dyed by changing that section. Further additions could be made, being that once you have a color selected, and then mouse over a location, it gives you the preview of the dye on that location.

I believe it would be a rather simple thing to implement, and it would just make the Dye System easier to understand.

EDIT: This is for individual pieces of armor, as in the chest piece, which may have anywhere from 1 to 4 dyes you can place on it, this idea is that when you mouse over one of those sections it highlights where the dye would go.

You can right-click on a dye from your inventory, or linked dye from chat, and preview it on the armor you’re wearing at the moment…

I see that I did not explain well enough, I’m talking when you go to Dye an armor, the individual sections of it would highlight so you know what piece of the armor is going to be affected

I suppose that would be a handy little extra, but I don’t see that it’s necessary. Dyes are infinite use once you’ve unlocked them, so I have no problem just trying them out to find out what they change – especially since there is the ‘undo’ function to return everything to the way it was when you started, if your experimentation ruins your setup.
