Haha but in all seriousness, I think back pieces should be able to be dyed as well. The back packs would look so much better.

We want back AND weapon dyes.

They probably weren’t designed to be dyed so they would either have to implement selective dyeing, change all old ones, or not at all. By not allowing them to be dyed, they can do things like sell pink and blue quaggans. Other items have custom dye jobs, so it wouldn’t be possible to have them fully dyeable since they break the 3 dye limit.

I’d like to dye the flower though.

I like dyeable back pieces as well, though I can see Anet being somewhat selective about which parts of the back piece can be dyeable to avoid having the dye system cannibalize into Gem Store profits. For instance, if their intention was to sell quaggan and charr backpacks in a variety of colors, smarter shoppers would get the cheaper one and recolor it.

On the other hand, they could release newer undyed backpacks with different visual features. For instance, newer generation of quaggan backpacks would all come undyed but may come with different accessories like monocles, bows, hats, mustaches, and charr-beards.

If this includes Kits for Engineers I might… Explode with glee.
