With so many dynamic events in the world, wouldn’t a world map function that shows when an event is either starting, or showing when the window of the event could start be useful?

I go to the dragon timer web sites for the major events, but it would be nice to have an in-game function to use instead…

I agree. It’s annoying when I’m trying to do daily events and such and have to run around in circles just to find events to do.

Also, I think it would help encourage players working together…instead of just one person doing an event because they’re the only one around, others could see where the event is from anywhere on the map and would be more likely to help out and participate.

Because it would cause massive zergs onto one zone.

They want players going where their whims and wanderlust take them; that’s why the game doesn’t even constantly inform you of events within the map, only when you get closer to them.

While Dream’s reasoning is sound and part of me agrees with it, I too want map notifications for active major / meta events. I would enjoy spending less time searching for active events and more time actually doing them. I’ve already 100%‘d the map so it isn’t like I haven’t explored. Perhaps only activate map notifications in a zone after it has been 100% explored?

There it is again, a player saying they’ve gotten 100%…

Here’s my question to you and every other player who seem to think this means they don’t need to explore anymore.

Did you work towards 100%? or did 100% naturally become an achievement as you played?

My account says I’m 44% at the moment, and I am in no rush to get to 100%.
Taking time and explore every nook and cranny that interests me has been a real blast. I’m always revisiting certain places and every now and again, I find a new event I never encountered before.

That got me thinking: Have you 100% guys seen all the events that can be seen?
I think that getting to 100% mentally gates a player from a lot of the content in the game. You lose the motivation to just wander around because that achievement medal is telling you “I’ve been here before, nothing to see”.

I have no problem admitting that I did 100% on purpose and have not seen every event. You don’t need to speak in an antagonistic tone, you could have simply asked.

The thing is, why would I chase after events that are meaningless to the overall plot? I have done every major meta event, I know that much, as I wanted to see the final lore outcome of each zone. I also did every mini-dungeon and jumping puzzle in the game because they are very well made, and sometimes challenging.
