THis is not a complaint but more like a solution to an rather irritating issue i have with people spawn camping the begining of the Eb jump puzzle. it has become apparent to me that you can Knock people off the ledge the moment the spawn onto the ledge and gang spike them to death. This past week ive experienced this at least 5 times an i gotta say … Not really liking the armour bill. I have zero problem with people attacking me in the puzzle but id atleast like to have the option to walk out on the ledge.. weigh my options and decide weather i want to attempe a run at it or not. That choice as it seems gets taken from me the moment i step out in the puzzle. My suggestion is to create one of those smoke rings .(like the one you get when take over a camp ) and place it right at the begining so that All three teams can come out onto ledge an maybe drop down inside it to better see if its worth going forth. Maybe have the ring cause an instant death to the person who wants to attack people in it . or maybe equip an invisa fountain at the top at the spawn point to give at the very least a fighting chance. Its a simple request that everybody can enjoy , if by chance your against it . u might be the one exploiting the ledge pull.

how are you getting pulled off the starter platform? the only way i can see that occuring is a focus mesmer… but having been on the other side of that situation (baruch bay had arrow carts set up on their side; with arborstone camping below) it was easy to dodge (pressed v as soon as i heard/saw the it) i then stood on the bit of the platform that the BB arrowcarts couldnt reach until out of combat and ported out of there
spawn camping does not seem to be as big an issue as arena camping; a zerg can gather at spawn and wipe them if they linger, getting to the arena tends to take varying amounts of time for different players (seperating them) and only the best jumpers can get past it whilst still invisible (though easily/annoyingly counterable by random aoe on the platforms – hello arrow carts -_-)
… best invis run ive done got me to the top of the arena (ran out a few seconds after reaching the top platform -with the chain-), luckily there were no campers; but if there were they wouldve seen me reappear (and likely kill me before i could reach the third well)
edit… also you can port out immediately after seeing them camping spawn; if theyre camping arena you lose more time if they kill you
Well the main trick employed by the spawn campers is such . Mez hides under the ledge an waits for said unsuspecting person to appear . Decoy player across from the spawn point shows him self an then retreats back to show hes the only one in the area. While in commucation with the mez . They wait for you to approach the edge to get a better look. and then wammo.. your popped/dragged /knocked/bopped/portaled off the safely of your ledge . and mostly jumped by the 3 or 6 guildies waiting to get their free kill. Cowardly but free.
Arrow carts are only usefull if you can get them set up . problem though mez can destroy them while he hides under your ledge.. but you still can’t forget the fact that you have to stay on the ledge long enough to get them set up. paid out 4 silver in armour repair to descover that tidbit of info.
However after conferring with my guild .. a solution was raise that made more since . place a railing around said ledge so the abilty to get dragged off is lost. An idea so simple it would elimate the fast coward kills.
Oh and before i forget .. the arrowcart once employed is zero effective. After having set one up. the Recharge time/firing rate/lack of any real damage/and overall destroyabilty cons strangley outweigh the pros by a great margin.
