Suggestion: Add an option to the /bug menu to make it easier to report hacks, bots, and other types of miss-play where the suspected violator disappears before they can be /reported.

The option would be similar to reporting a bug and open up a new panel in the game, instead of via the external browser. This would allow the GW2 client to automatically include the XYZ coordinates, the time/date, and the server, as it does now for bug reports.

The drop downs might offer a narrow set of choices: botting or hacking. The panel would include space for a short description of the behavior and attaching an existing screenshot.

How it Works Now:
Currently, you can only use in-game reporting if you can pre-select a character. This is nearly impossible for speed-hacked/teleport bots. This means the only way to report such bots is to send an email to exploits@arena.net or create a ticket.

There are three issues with the current system:

  • It takes longer than using the in-game /bug feature.
  • It lacks precise location & timestamp data.
  • It’s awkward for the player and it’s less accurate for ANet’s support team.

Consequently, it discourages players from reporting, because it takes them away from the game.
