Simply add a race-specific portal stone to the inventory of every character.
Using it would allow you to quick-travel to your character’s capital without costs.
Everyone would travel to his or her capital instead of overcrowding Lions Arch.
Lions Arch itself wont be abandoned because of its dungeon traders and fractals.
Problem solved? :o

I think it’s a good idea, but maybe just adjust the cost of a race to fast travel to it’s home town instead of using an item. A lot of people would just trash the item for space.

Why not just make all Waypoints in the cities for free from wherever you are? That way people aren’t always gated through LA and will go to craft or pick up some banked items from the nearest town, not always taking the Mist portal to LA, then through LA to another City.

Heart of the mysts, lions arch, wp to gate hub, run to portal of race city. It’s a great way of reducing coin when travelling from one side of the map to the over.

exactly, a pointless act. If Arenanet would not support this kind of saving they would’ve blocked that path off already; seeing that they didn’t, they might as well just make waypointing to cities free of charge!

I think it should be free to your home city and they should also add mystic forges in each city. I definitely think Divinity’s Reach would be packed, it’s such a beautiful city, not many people notice it because they’re always at LA.
