Why do you want to deny Elementalist and Engineers of the same convince that you have with your class? It’s only going to be a out of combat swap.
You have no reasonable reason to disagree with this suggestion.
You may not agree with my reasoning but that does not make it any less valid. 6 classses not named ele or engi are limited to 20 in combat weapon skills AND have to actually buy two at a minimum TWO weapons to get 20 skills. Ele and engi have IN EXCESS of 40 skills and only have to BUY ONE weapon.
That SERIOUS ADVANTAGE must be countered by not have a 2nd weapon slot. IN or OUT of combat makes no difference.
Ele and engi have two MASSIVE bonuses over the other 6 classes and ONE tiny little inconvience. If anything, the other 6 classes should be kittening they have to PAY TWICE as much for HALF THE INCOMBAT SKILLS.
And there it is mentioning false facts and relating an out of combat request with in combat benefits. You fail to see your whole argument is why should they when they get so many skills in combat, and yet ele and engi can switch their weapons out of combat already.
For the record it is not 40 + skills
- ELE – 25 no matter what weapon you have while in combat. 5 × 4 + 5 = 25
- ENGI – 30 No matter what weapon you have 5 weapon skills say you run 4 kits ( 5 skills each ) 1 elite, 4 function skills. 5 × 4 +5 +1 + 4 = 30
Look no one here that is speaking out against this can actually give any formidable evidence that giving an engi and an ele an out of combat weapon swap and applying a secondary weapon set to the paper doll will make the ELE and Engi over powered. The reason they can’t is because of the fact that a weapon can be switched out of combat already which is all that most ele and engi players are asking for to be a quick one button switch.
I guess one could use the excuse of your just being lazy, well so be it, guess every other player is just as lazy for using the in combat weapon switch macro of “~” also. Not that they are but hey what have you, So once someone can give a legitimate reason as to how this would make an elementalist Over powered out of combat, with out trying to use the
- No other class can do it <——- which has been proven to be wrong
- they have 40+ skills in combat <——— Which has nothing to do with out of combat
- Your just being lazy <——- which is a very weak argument
I really don’t see why Arena Net shouldn’t consider this idea, so long as the implementation of this doesn’t take priority over things that need to be fixed that are more serious
::EDIT:: I guess technically elementalist can achieve 40 skills but the elemental weapons don’t really count as someone would have to slot 4 of 5 weapons and those same weapons allow other professions to also gain 5 additional skills, which in retrospect nullifies them out of gaining skills that no one else can get. ::EDIT::
