Emotes I wish were in the game....
I agree there really should be some more emots
/joke – tell a random joke based on your race and/or class
/silly – just generally act silly
/jumpforjoy – for when you got that epicly amazing item from that big chest
/rage – for when you just gotta let it out
Well you already have threaten so that could stand in for rage I guess. Well the charr one at the very least.
I generally use the /emote to do various things. Most specifically /emote kicks you in the face. Have used it on guildies a few times for humurous results.
Curious though do we really need animated emotes for all these. A few make sense like beg. But cheer already exists jump for joy seems redundant
I’ve been under the impression that more emotes will be added as time and resources free up for it.
Coming from GW1, a lot of the old Emotes don’t do anything, but also don’t give you the ‘not an emote’ text that normally accompanies an incorrectly typed emote.
This goes for stuff like /flex and /pout and all the old instrument emotes that filled the game (miss playin’ that mean air guitar solo).
So I think there is hope, just gotta patient with the Devs. As much as I want these emotes back, I’d much prefer the mechanics of the game to be better tuned than they currently are.
/agree
/congrats
/flute
/guitar
/drum
/violin
/sorry
and…
/jump
There are many emotes that we could do with, especially with animations. I wouldn’t be opposed if they started making them and selling them as packs in the gem store.
Someone was playing a flute next to me today, and they were ‘really’ good, and wanted to /clap or /applaud them, but couldn’t. Just /cheer.
/flirt
/thank
/battlecry
/shy
I’d also like to see better synergy between emotes. For example, when already sitting, I’d like to be able to type /sleep and see my toon seamlessly transition from sitting to laying down without awkwardly standing in between.
/facepalm
Must have it.
