Please enable race change via gem store, It would be a good income for Arenanet and it will give players the possibility to play another race without leveling and gearing all the way up to 80 again.

I agree 100%, the Norn looked terrible in 1-79 gear, so I made a Charr… now I regret it with every fiber of my being. Hell, I would even pay the usually 10-20 bucks if they don’t want to use the gold→gem conversion.

Changing the apperance or even a gender (if someone really wants to..) would be fine, but ability to change the race is just too much. Charr transforming into Asura? Or maybe Norn into Sylvari? Really horrible idea. Also, what would happen to a personal storyline?

if u want a race change, roll a new character.

Problem with race change is it resets a lot of stuff. Some of the things right off the top of my head is culture armor’s, skill’s, and personal story. Theres pribally more but those are just some of it. I tend to agree with Deimos Tel Arin and say if you want to change race just reroll.

No a good idea imo. Why?
It would need to change your personal storyline, your homeinstance, and etc.
But if you suggest to have gender swapping or cosmestic change like back in GW1, then it is a good suggestion.

…just re-roll. It’s not as if leveling in this game is an impossible chore that will take months upon months of grinding to reach max level. I’m a casual player, and by that I mean I may play about four to eight hours a week, and I’m in my mid sixties. Don’t want to lose armour – put it in the bank. Got a title – make it part of the leveling process to regain.

Why should ANet make a race change patch just because you’re too lazy? It’s not as if you didn’t see each race in mid-gear level armour before you created the character!

Terrible idea. Reasons.
1: Cultural Armor. Does it transmute to another race, or just become impossible for you to wear?
2: Personal Storyline. Do you keep all your current progress and rewards, and also get to do the others, and get all those achievements, all those rewards? Does it reset completely? If so, can you then change Orders and get more stuff you’re not supposed to have?
3: Racial skills. Do you just lose them all, or do they transfer. Does 3 point charr skill equal a 10 point norn elite?
4: You can simply transmute the high level armor skins you want on to low level armor. You can be in full Arah armor at level 2 via mail, if you so choose.

Seriously, level via crafting. 8 disciplines to 300 = 60 levels. Do a starting zone to take you to 20, then craft, and you’re instantly 80, in no more than three hours if you’re slow.

A full set of exotics from karma vendors is easy, assuming you can find a server where the karma vendors exist. A full set of dungeon gear takes 8 days of 3 branches a day. If you use your current main to pre-craft, you can simply have your full set of exotic waiting for you.

Leveling and gearing again is easy.
