Anet should change the bonus and world chest for world events to only be rewarded to players who complete the entire chain of events.

It is not fair that only a few people do all the grunt work up to the end and get no more benefits than the lazy parasites that show up at the last minute for a freebie.

(also, couldn’t care less if it doesn’t benefit other people. They should actually work for their profit)

How about a person who signs on and say, Shatterer just happens to be up? They might have participated in the events had they been online.

Oh, also, should a person who hops in during the middle of a dungeon after someone rage-quits or leaves not get the tokens because they didn’t do all the grunt work?

It sucks but yeah. Or in case of the dungeon a fraction of the tokens depending on how late they come. 1/2. 1/3. 1/4…etc

Without “these” parasites, you wouldnt be able to finish the world event and not get your reward from the event chest. Just saying…

Reason is, events like Shatter. Some do the gather, some do the escort. Both happen at the same time.

I also may have just gotten home from work and logged in just when a event was happening but missed part of the pre-events. I don’t like the idea of helping to kill the boss but not get anything.

In additon, the gather part of Shatter is currently borked. Only 1 siege piece is spawned at a time instead of everyone getting a siege piece per piece spawned. This causes the event to take way longer if more people show up. If they fix gather events to work better, I will withdraw this part of my argument.

Other pre-events can be hard to get credit. Maw and Wurm pre events, I’m lucky to kill one or get a hit on one critter during the escort part. The mobs are squishy and not scaled properly and to get credit, you have to range or be standing right on the spot they spawn. If this part gets fixed, I’ll withdraw this from my argument.

There are also some event parts I dislike. I really don’t like the ice shield in Claw before it gets it’s wings shot off. I don’t mind the crystals, I don’t mind the last part of the boss fight, I just hate doing the ice shield so I usually skipp helping that part. If someone didn’t like the last part of the fight but didn’t mind the first part, they can take my place in the first part and still get credit for the event.

Sometimes I do the pre-events. Sometimes I veg. I don’t care if people veg when I’m doing the pre-events.

Not sure why you feel the need to change this. Someone stick a burr up your bum?
