Considering all the grind involved with ascended crafting, the amount of options when making your totally awesome ascended weapon, is a bit…. shall we say, lacking?

Here’s some things that I would love to see added to Ascended Crafting:

• Allow us to pick the look of the weapon. That includes picking the color and choosing from a variety of skins. Don’t all ascended staffs look exactly the same, only with a different color? Why not let us pick the skin and color?

• Allow us to pick a glow or effect. These are ascended weapons after all. Allow us to pick if we want bats circling our staff, or our sword to be on fire. Let us pick from various special effects to apply to our weapon.

• Allow us to name the weapon. I would love to personalize the weapon, by giving it my very own name, and my very own description. Sure, some people will want to add naughty words. But since it is character bound, they can’t trade it, and if they show it in chat, you could always report offensive words, just as you would report anyone misbehaving in chat. Adding your own name and flavor text simply makes that ascended weapon that much more special. It’s also great for role players, because it lets you add some back story to the weapon.
