Much like how another MMORPG had for one of their events with achievements, I believe that items earned during events such as Mad King Slippers and the Mad Memories should be mailed to other and future characters in the manner that collectors items are mailed to all characters as well as the items being account bound. This would only be for accounts that had completed the quests to get these items, I.E. the Clock Tower and/or the Mad Memories quest line. This would allow for people to allow their characters that weren’t created at the time or high enough levels as their main to enjoy the spoils of their mad jumping and questing during events.
Basically, if you earned an item from a world event like Mad King Slippers or the Mad Memories book on one character, all other characters created and to be created would receive an account bound version of it in the mail.

Even though i can see the fun and benefit of what you are suggesting, i personally don’t think it would work all to great considering with the limited storage space people have with banks being shared among characters.
Achievements alone should be personal to a character unless it is a specific account based achievement. Like “This player PERTICIPATED during 2012 Halloween” etc etc…

What would be a smarter system would simply just to have items you’ve gained through holiday event’s to be account bound. That way you can interchange the gear among any character… Although you would have issue with type of gear (light, medium heavy) and so on…
It would still be a far better solution to your idea.

Another idea, even though slightly less ingenious, would to simply have a specific NPC somewhere that would duplicate any item you wish for a small cost.
Depending on the item’s rarity or so on, the cost would change.
However you would again have issue with the specific light, medium and heavy gear’s seeing as it only duplicates that exact item and does not change them up to another gear type. And quite frankly i can see this being a abused system as well.

Overall, i like your idea, it has it’s merit but i can see the logistically problems with it.

So there wouldn’t be so much ‘abuse’ of it, the items would of course be non-salvageable so that people wouldn’t just keep creating characters to get items in the mail. And if it went the route of your NPC idea, perhaps you could be able to choose the type of armor when it was duplicated.

I think this is a fantastic idea with some tweaking. I like the idea of making the items account bound. That way you avoid inventory clutter but still can have the item on whatever toon you want.

I would also like to see my Mad Memories to be account bounded.
All one time event items should be like that, the ones from Karka actually were, so why not Mad Memories?
I’d like to delete my character, but I would seriously miss my burning backpack. BTW, ALL items bought in the store during Haloween were account bound.
I think it’s a very reasonable request.
