I have no idea if this has been posted before, or anything similar, but I would love a way to recycle unwanted Ascended rings. I mean, the rings are great and all, but while I’m building a tanky hammer-warrior those Mellagan’s Whorls just don’t help.

A few suggestions on ways to recycle them:
- Have them be salvageable. Easy fix, chance at an ecto, what’s not to like?
- Throw 4 into Mystic Forge for a random other Ascended ring (chance at an infused one?), or maybe just one or two Pristine Fractal Relics!
- Throw one (plus some other stuff, like a Master’s salvage kit) ring into forge, get some Fractal Relics! Would really help to get all those relics needed for the Fractal Capacitor.
- That’s all I got.

Really, I would like a way to get rid of all these rings in my bank. I don’t want to sell them, because 5s just doesn’t seem worth it for something I can only get once a day from Fractals.

I completely agree with your first two ideas (not sure about the third). It would also be nice to be able to trade an Ascended ring in, for either another ring, or maybe around 5 pristine fractal relics.

But we definitely need to be able to salvage and mystic forge them.

Why not salvage and have a chance to get globs/vials/shards of mist essence.

Drop rate isn’t very big on them, and they are useful if we want to upgrade our rings to infused.

All these ideas sound like they could work really well. I too have excess rings just lying around. I’m leaning more to the salvage for vials/globs/shards, though how would it work? Does each ring have a percentage chance to salvage into vials>globs>shards, in that order?

I want to send my excess rings to guildies who got the RNG-bat. It’s almost frightening that I have over 30 excess rings and some guildies have had ZERO, and had to make their own 2 rings with Pristine Relics after 500 Fractals’ worth.

2 rings from pristine is only 20 fractal runs. That’s 20 days for 1 fractal run a day. I almost have 2 rings that way, but i dont have enough vials/globs/shards to upgrade it into (infused).
