I have noticed even though I have only been playing for a short time that exoctic armor especially the armor of the Gods is incredibly difficult to acquire, not because of the karma needed but because no one is around to accomplish the events that take place to get those exoctic armors. More and more I notice events going unplayed and waypoints contested more often than not. My suggestion is to make the end chests in some of them worth striving for , I mean a hour to a hour and a half battle just to get blues and greens , why bother? Put something there for the players to desire to come back to pve and not just do wvw 24/7 . Another suggestion figure out peak server hours to do some of these big group events in cursed shore and straits of devastation . This would help players to get access to exoctic armors, which could bring a new infusion of life into the pve enviroment. So bottom line I think that these suggestions would help infuse life into an otherwise dying pve enviorment and give players a reason to do events and have an all around better cohesion of a community of not only wvw but pve also.

Then technically, you’re the targetted audience that Anet had in mind with the gear hierarchy. They only added ascended because exotics were being obtained too fast.
Anyway, at least one of the temples is usually unlocked, just depends on your server I suppose. If you can’t get the temples, there’s crafting and dungeons

It is partially true what you say, especially for Balthazar and Lyssa, as they require a lot of people to do them. The other temples (grenth, melandru, gates of arah and the one in malchors leap that spawns sparks) are uncontested quite often, at least on my server.

True for some of the temples… but martching stats are an issue when trying to get karma armors… example…. Medium armor from arah doesnt match… u have to get the hat from balthazar and boots from grenth to have matching stats… never did unstand the logic of that.

I don’t really see exotics being too hard to obtain, even if you’re going for the armor of the gods the hardest part is getting to the npc’s that sell the armor. As for the karma you can get that before you even get to lvl 80 if you do the daily every day you play with the monthly. If you don’t care what exotic armor looks you get, you can spend 15-20g (I think around there) to buy a full set or farm dungeons for a few days and get the dungeon exotics.

As for adding more reason for players to go back, all you have to do is read any Anet blog this year to see that is one of the big things they’re looking at in 2013 and they have already confirmed they’re adding more rewards to orr and looking at the temple fights to make them more rewarding for players to revisit them.

I can only assume it was designed that way to make people visit the different temples to get the full set instead of just doing the easiest temple and never do them again
